Access your report as soon as your seeds are tested.

The ISU Seed Lab is committed to providing accurate and timely seed testing results. You may check on the progress of your seed tests or check test results by using your secure online web locker system or contacting Customer Care (515-294-6826, seedlab@iastate.edu).  Results from each day’s evaluation of tests are available each evening in your web locker.

How long do tests take?

Test duration depends upon the crop being tested and the type of test being performed. If you require more information than is available on this page, contact Customer Care at 515-294-6826. Most seed testing is started on the same day the sample is received.

You may choose from the following options to receive test results:

  • Mailed hard copies
  • E-mail
  • Spreadsheets in your secure web locker

Almost all testing is started the same day that samples are received in our laboratory. However, this may not always be the case if you require that samples be planted or evaluated on a weekend.

Priority samples that require a purity test and noxious weed exam can be rushed for $5.00 per sample.

  • The date samples are received
  • The sample number assigned each of your samples
  • The starting date of various tests
  • Test results
  • Completion dates

To log in, simply go to http://weblocker.seed.iastate.edu and click on “log in” in the sentence “Please log in to continue.”  Enter your account number as the Username and the Password you provided.  Please don’t hesitate to contact Customer Care at 515-294-6826 or seedlab@iastate.edu or the Lab Manager if you have any questions or comments about using the new web locker.

Any column on the spreadsheet that includes a heading that appears underlined when your computer mouse (cursor) passes over it is a sortable column.

Results from each day’s evaluation will be available each evening in your web locker. Germination results are updated online each day at noon and at 3:00 pm (Central Time). You may also contact Customer Care at 515-294-6826 or seedlab@iastate.edu to check on your test results.

Yes. Pdfs of test results are available online the evening of the day they are created, and remain stored thereafter in your secure E-report client web locker.
